On 31 August 2026, Lions Club of Gandhinagar Metro Global and Gandhinagar Metro Aadhya Shakti jointly organized a meaningful programme on Drug Awareness and Character Building at Sarhej Kanya School. As part of the programme, Shri Devendrabhai Mehta, District Chairperson for Drug Awareness and the Chief Guest, educated the girls about the harmful effects of drugs through an engaging question-and-answer session. ZC Dr. Binaben Patel also delivered an insightful speech on the subject. Guest of Honour Jalpaben explained the importance of staying away from drugs through an interactive storytelling session. The school Principal, Smt. Chandanben Solanki, also addressed the students. A rally carrying anti-drug slogans and posters was organized, which passed through the surrounding area, spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. Shri Naimbhai Tirmizi, President of Gandhinagar Metro Global, and Dr. Ishwariben, President of Gandhinagar Metro Aadhya Shakti, also addressed the girls and shared practical guidance on how to stay away from drugs and make healthy choices. At the end of the programme, snacks were distributed among the 317 girls present.
