Report on “Vibrant Garba Night — Premium Cultural Edition” Lions Club of Ahmedabad Vibrant Date: Sunday, 28th September 2025 | Venue: Shantam Hall, Motera, Ahmedabad Prepared by: CA Pankaj Jain — Secretary, Lions Club of Ahmedabad Vibrant Attendance: 850+ persons 1. Overview The Lions Club of Ahmedabad Vibrant successfully organized “Vibrant Garba Night – Premium Cultural Edition” on 28th September 2025 at Shantam Hall, Motera. The program began at 7:00 pm and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 850+ members and guests. The special theme of the evening was “Safed Aura … A Celebration of Purity, Peace & Devotion”. The decision of President Mukesh B. Chopra to conduct the event in an air-conditioned hall proved to be very wise, as it ensured uninterrupted celebrations despite heavy rain on the day. 2. Highlights of the Evening • The event was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Guest Lion Hiren Mewada, District Governor along with several other Lion dignitaries from district. • Past Multiple Council Chairman Lion Sunil Gugaliya could not be present in Garba due to prior commitments, but he graciously extended his heartfelt wishes for the success and enjoyment of the event. • The cultural highlight was the Akhand Jyoti Garba Group, who delivered mesmerizing performances and kept the audience engaged throughout the night. • Over 850 participants played garba, celebrated, and enjoyed the festive spirit of Navratri, making the evening truly vibrant. • Families, children, and senior members equally participated, adding to the charm and inclusiveness of the celebration. 3. Uniqueness of the Event The organizing team introduced several first-time initiatives that made the event stand out: I) Technology-driven entry with QR Code Scanning – Every pass was scanned digitally at the entry point, ensuring secure, transparent, and smooth management. This eliminated unauthorized or “face entry” and set a new standard of discipline. II) Dual Checkpoint System with Wristbands – For the first time, wristbands were given after initial pass scanning. This allowed members to move freely in and out of the hall — especially for those stepping out for food — without repeatedly showing their passes III) Introduction of Paid Passes – passes were kept on a nominal paid basis. This ensured that the sponsorship burden was reduced and also helped in creating brand value for the club. Interestingly, demand for passes surged at the last moment, confirming the event’s popularity. This initiative has laid the foundation for a more sustainable and prestigious model for future Garba Nights. These first-time initiatives enhanced discipline, prestige, and created a benchmark model for future Garba event. 4. Premium Gifts & Competitions Adding charm to the celebrations, special contests and prizes were organized. There were prizes for best Aarti Thali Decorations, Best Couple in Garba, Best Garba Dress, Best Garba Performance and Best Child Garba Performance etc. in male and female. Various prizes given were Freeze, Microwave Oven, Sound Bar Speakers, Sandwich Toasters, Glass Tiffin, Mixer grinder, Cooler, Trolley Bag, Hand blender etc. These premium prizes brought extra excitement and joy to the evening. 6. Conclusion The Vibrant Garba Night – Premium Cultural Edition was a resounding success, filled with devotion, entertainment, and fellowship.
