Lions Club of Ahmedabad Metro City Successfully Organizes Free Breast Cancer Awareness and Mammography Camp The Lions Club of Ahmedabad Metro City successfully organized a Free Breast Cancer Awareness and Mammography Camp on 20 July 2026 at 7:00 a.m. in Chandkheda, in collaboration with Ashirwad Foundation. A team of five women doctors from Ashirwad Foundation conducted breast cancer awareness sessions and provided free mammography screening and health check-ups for women. A total of 567 women participated in the camp. During the screening, 123 women were identified as requiring further medical evaluation. They were referred by Dr. Parul Patel and Devang Shah of Ashirwad Foundation for specialized consultation and advanced diagnostic care, where they received expert medical guidance. On this occasion, the President of the Lions Club of Ahmedabad Metro City, Ilaxi Chauhan, encouraged women to remain vigilant about breast cancer, undergo regular health screenings, and seek timely medical advice whenever any symptoms are noticed. She emphasized that early detection and awareness are key to effective treatment and saving lives. The Lions Club expressed its gratitude to the team of doctors, Ashirwad Foundation, volunteers, and all participants for making the health camp a great success.
